Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Secretary and Mass Mobilization Commission Chairwoman Ha Thi Khiet headed Vietnam’s representatives.

The AIPA delegation met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and held a dialogue with the Japan-ASEAN parliamentarians group.

Japanese leaders voiced Japan’s desire to enhance its strategic partnership with ASEAN, share its experience, and help ASEAN countries wherever possible.

At a meeting with Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance President Toshihiro Nikai, the Vietnamese delegation recommitted to cultivating the strategic partnership, the relationship between the two nations’ peoples, and cooperation between the two parliamentary friendship groups.

Vietnam deeply values the contributions of the Japanese government and businesses community, especially those operations based in the Southeast Asian country.

Japan is keen to expand cross cultural exchanges and agricultural cooperation and wants Vietnam to support the construction of a Vietnam-Japan university.
