Meeting with the embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the RoK, Mr. Hue briefed them on his talks with Speaker of the Korean National Assembly Park Byeong-seug.

Chairman Hue said the Vietnamese Party and State pay close attention to Vietnamese communities abroad, including in the RoK.

“What the Vietnamese community is most concerned about is the resumption of commercial flights. I’d like to inform you that, beginning January 1, 2022, Vietnam will resume some flights, including those to Seoul, one of the 10 destinations of piloted flights. This resumption is important because of the growing demand from Overseas Vietnamese wishing to return to Vietnam for Tet, Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year, as well as foreign experts and guest workers,” according to Mr. Hue.
