Mr. Phong said the government inspectorate has organized inspections of a number of complicated, serious cases in order to fight corruption. The Government Inspectorate has asked for prosecution of corrupt organizations and individuals.

Phong said it was a difficult task of recovering corrupt assets. He said the work has become more effective following the adoption of the Party Secretariat’s Decree 04 on strengthening the Party leadership in corrupt asset recovery.

"Relevant agencies have fulfilled their tasks of recovering corrupt property. In the first nine months of this year, more than 40 million USD has been recovered from corruption cases, doubling that of 2021. We need to continue to fine-tune laws on recovering corrupt assets, strengthen inspection and law enforcement, and enhance international cooperation to recover corrupt assets."

In the morning, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan answered deputies’ questions.
