(VOVworld) – On Thursday National Assembly Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu received a delegation of dignitaries from ethnic minority groups in Quang Nam province visiting Hanoi to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum. Luu hailed the group for their contributions to local development and said the Party and State hope that their people will soon escape poverty and enjoy better living conditions. He called on them to uphold their tradition of patriotism and unity and help publicize government and Party policies to their local communities. He asked the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee to do more to improve ethnic minority people’s living conditions and the socioeconomic development of people living in border and other disadvantaged districts.
