(VOVworld) – The National Assembly deputies on Tuesday listened to Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for National Defense and Security Nguyen Kim Khoa present a report on revising the draft Law on Citizen Identity Card.
The deputies agreed to keep the name of the revised law because it covers citizen identity, a database of citizen identity, the management and usage of the ID card, and the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of related organizations and individuals.
The NA Standing Committee agreed with the Government to assign the Ministry of Public Security to develop and manage the national database on population.
