At a conference on Thursday to review the legislature’s performance in the first half and set tasks for the rest of the year, Mr. Hue said that National Assembly agencies have dealt with a great volume of work in an effective and professional manner and will continue to improve their performance in the time to come.

“The National Assembly Standing Committee and its agencies have closely followed the Politburo and Secretariat’s guidelines and institutionalized the Party Central Committee’s resolutions to meet the demand for national development, especially in socio-economy, national defence and security. The National Assembly has considerably contributed to the dual tasks of fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and restoring the economy,” he said.
