NA Chairwoman visits Ho Chi Minh Space, meets overseas Vietnamese in France

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan laid flowers at the Ho Chi Minh monument, planted a tree, and visited the Ho Chi Minh Space in Montreau park of Montreuil city on Sunday, during her official visit to France. The Ho Chi Minh Space was inaugurated on May 19, 2000, to mark the great leader’s 110thbirth anniversary.

Meeting with the executive committee of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, Chairwoman Ngan praised the solidarity and mutual support of Vietnamese wherever they live.  She said her visit to France aims to boost the two countries’ Strategic Partnership which was established in 2013.

Addressing a ceremony to the mark the 100th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese Association in France and to award the Independence Order, first class, to the Association, Ms. Ngan said the Party and State always respects and implements the national great unity policy and that overseas Vietnamese is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. She added the Vietnamese State always creates favorable conditions for them to integrate in their host countries and promote Vietnamese identities.

During a meeting with Jean-Pierre Archambault, Secretary General of the France-Vietnam Friendship Association, NA Chairwoman Ngan reiterated Vietnam’s foreign policy of treasuring the relationship with France. She expressed her hope that both sides will continue coordination to deepen bilateral cooperation and that the France-Vietnam Friendship Association will continue to have its say to support Vietnamese organizations in France and the preservation of Vietnamese culture and language among the Vietnamese community in France.
