In an interview with Vietnam News Agency on this occasion, Speaker of the National Assembly of the RoK Park Byeong-seug affirmed that Mr. Hue’s visit will contribute to deepen the two countries’ bilateral ties. Vietnam is an important country in South Korea’s New Southern Policy and a key country in its cooperative strategic parnership. With this visit and in anticipation of the two countries’ 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties, both sides will discuss measures to lift bilateral ties from cooperative strategic parnership to comprehensive strategic partnership. The two leaders will also seek solutions to remove obstacles in trade and travel between the two countries as well as institutionalize agreed principles.
