NA Chairman wraps up visits to Hungary and UK aimed at boosting partnership

In the two countries, Mr. Hue was engaged in nearly 50 activities. He held talks with the top leaders of the legislatures, met with senior leaders of the Government and a number of Ministers, witnessed the signing of memorandum of understanding between ministries, sectors and localities.

Chairman Hue met with leaders of the Friendship Parliamentary Group, the Bilateral Friendship Association, representatives of corporations and businesses of the two countries that have invested in and cooperated with Vietnam, and leaders of universities.

He attended high-level talks on economy, trade, investment, and educational cooperation and visited the Embassy, met representatives of the Vietnamese community in Hungary, UK, and some neighboring countries.

The visits aimed to continue the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, deepen bilateral cooperation, and affirming Vietnam's respect for the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership and the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership.

The visits also demonstrated the Party and State's interest in the overseas Vietnamese community, implementing the Politburo's Conclusion 12 on the overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and Hungary is an important milestone. The UK visit strengthens connectivity, promotes cooperation, and especially the effective implementation of the UK-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.

The trip creates a new impetus for the relationship between Vietnam and the two countries in politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, education-training and climate change response and other potential area.

It was an opportunity for the senior Vietnamese leader to exchange and convey messages about Vietnam's stance on a number of regional and global issues of mutual concern.
