NA Chairman Hue said Vietnam highly praises the IPU’s role as a prestigious multilateral forum in the world with activities aimed at promoting peace, stability, development, democracy, gender equality, social progress and justice. Vietnam's hosting the Global Young parliamentarians Conference demonstrates its commitment and active participation in IPU, said Mr. Hue.
The Vietnamese top leader said after the conference, the Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to host other IPU’s meetings including the IPU General Assembly, the Conference of the World’s Top Legislators, and other thematic conferences and workshops of IPU.
IPU leaders expressed their impression on Vietnam’s rapid development and thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly for its thorough preparations for the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, which they said reflect the Vietnamese NA’s commitment to ensuring the success of the event.
