Working with the Provincial Party Committee in Phu Ly city on Sunday, the top legislator appreciated the provincial recent development and asked Ha Nam to review its development direction, especially planning.

Underlining the goal set by the province to build Ha Nam into a city under the central Government by 2035 and a modern city by 2050, the National Assembly Chairman noted that the province needs to clearly define its goals, renew thinking and vision, unlock potentials, and promote strengths as the southern gateway of Hanoi capital.

For new rural building, Ha Nam needs to strive for ecological agriculture, modern rural areas and civilized farmers, he said.

On Sunday, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Phu Thu intersection project and the opening of a sports complex.

In the evening, he attended the opening ceremony of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week, an event in response to the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
