Chairman Hue called on the BIA and BCCI to cooperate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnamese business community, and to increase investment and trading opportunities between the two countries.

He also asked the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria to coordinate with Bulgarian organizations in organizing seminars, business trips, forums, fairs, and exhibitions to help businesses find partners and explore investment and business opportunities.

By setting up partnerships with local businesses and investing in Vietnam, Bulgarian enterprises will have access to the broader ASEAN market and, in return, Vietnamese investors and businesses working with Bulgarian firms will have opportunities for cooperation with other EU members, especially the Balkan countries, said Mr. Hue.

In his keynote policy speech at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Chairman Hue outlined a number of major cooperation directions, which focused on promoting political trust, the exchange of delegations at all levels in all channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and public. He underscored the need to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation and mutual support between the two legislative bodies at world parliamentary forums.

He asked both countries to increase cooperation in digital transformation and innovation, and expedite collaborative initiatives and new economic cooperation at global and regional levels.

Mr. Hue said there should be continued efforts to step up the traditional cooperation areas in education, training, healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, environment, and natural resource management.
