The top legislator received visiting Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance Nikai Toshihiro in Hanoi on Friday.

Toshihiro thanked the National Assembly Chairman in his previous and current positions for always supporting and making important contributions to strengthening Japan-Vietnam relations. He suggested a meeting between Japanese parliamentarians and the Vietnamese community in Japan.

At the meeting, both leaders stressed the need to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation, especially exchanges between young parliamentarians of the two countries; boost people-to-people exchanges, culture and cuisine; and bolster labor cooperation and training of trainees in agriculture.
