(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and visiting Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese discussed ways to reinforce relations between the two countries during a meeting in Hanoi on Sunday.

Chairman Hue said that Vietnam has revised many laws to improve its business and investment climate. 

The National Assembly will amend Vietnam’s visa policy to boost trade, investment and tourism, Mr. Hue said.

He thanked the Australian government for sponsoring a training course on climate change and energy for Vietnamese National Assembly deputies and staff of the National Assembly Office.

PM Albanese said that parliamentary exchanges and mutual understanding are crucial and that in his position, he will help promote cooperation in all fields between the two nations.

He voiced his support for the sending of an Australian delegation to the 9th  Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, scheduled to take place in Hanoi in September.

The same day, PM Albanese met Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong.
