NA Chairman calls for increasing experience exchange among Vietnamese, Cuban women

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said at Friday’s reception for the visiting Secretary General of the Cuban Women's Union that Vietnam has attached importance to preserving and promoting the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba through channels of the Party, National Assembly, Government, and people-to-people exchanges.

Mr. Hue spoke highly of the role and activities of the Cuban Women's Union and Ms. Teresa Maria Amarelle Boue herself who is also a member of the Council of State of Cuba in boosting gender equality, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of Cuban women in the political, economic and social life.

He noted that in the current context, it’s important to enhance the cooperation and the friendship, as well as to increase the exchange of experience and learning from each other for women of both countries.

The Secretary General of the Cuban Women's Union expressed her wish to also strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, especially in practical experience to engage  more women in economic activities.
