The week, which opened in Hanoi on Thursday, honors the cultural identities of Vietnam’s ethnic groups, role models in cultural preservation, and the love and compassion that has spread among people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Activities will include cultural exchanges, a presentation of traditional crafts, and the reenactment of several festivals.
Chairman Hue asked the Vietnam Fatherland Front, sectors, and organizations to unite to contain the pandemic, and restore production. He said: “The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to encourage people to carry out political tasks and emulation movements, and be united in preserving our cultural values. Unity between ethnic groups, religions, and people inside and outside Vietnam must be fostered to help those in need and those who are affected by COVID-19. It is essential to communicate Party and State guidelines, policies, and laws related to ethnicity.”
