(VOVworld) – Myanmar's State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in Singapore on Wednesday for a three-day official visit. In her meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Suu Kyi said Myanmar is facing many challenges but good and understanding partners inside and outside Myanmar will help it overcome them.

Earlier in the day, the State Counselor told Singaporean business leaders that tackling issues of national reconciliation in Myanmar was essential to attract businesses. She added that the Myanmar government’s new investment law will create more favorable conditions for foreign enterprises. Singapore is Myanmar’s third biggest trade partner and second biggest foreign investor after China and Thailand.
