Meanwhile, Russian Agriculture Minister Nicolai Fyodorov said Russia has worked out a list of alternative food suppliers to replace the countries named in the sanctions signed by President Putin on August 6th.

The countries hardest hit by the Russian sanctions are Poland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Belgium with the total economic loss of 5.2 billion euros. Roger Waite, European Commission spokesman for Agriculture, warned of the possibility of a new crisis in the EU as the prices of agricultural products like carrots, tomatoes and cabbage drop.
