The passengers who flew to Vietnam on flight VN311 from Japan’s Narita Airport included 141 pregnant women, 36 people suffering from critical illness, 84 children, 19 humanitarian cases, and those whose work contract or visa expired. A representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan said the flight shows the Vietnamese mutual support spirit no matter where they live.
On April 12 and April 23, two flights brought home safely hundreds of disadvantaged Vietnamese from Japan.
Similar repatriation flights from the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore and New Zealand are due to land in Vietnam this week.
