The initiative aims to protect the ecosystem, develop mangrove forests and strengthen the community’s ability to respond to climate change, contributing to environmental sustainability.
With over 3,800 hectares, the mangrove forests in Vinh Chau town are vital to local life as they help dissipate waves, protect sea dykes and coastlines, regulate the climate, absorb carbon, and support rare wildlife and local communities.
The program, jointly organized by Economic & Urban Newspaper, ActionAid Vietnam, and the Aid for Social Protection Program Foundation Vietnam (AFV), also highlights the press’s role in raising awareness about environmental protection and climate change.
