(VOVworld)-Ho Chi Minh City’s Fatherland Front mobilized more than 126 billion VND for its Fund for the Poor last year. Report delivered at a review meeting in the city on Tuesday said that the fund has built and repaired 80 houses for the poor, provided 2,600 scholarships and 130 means of transport for needy students. Deputy Chairman of the city’s fatherland front, Huynh Dang Linh  said the city aimed to mobilize another 80 billion dong this year for the poor: “This year we will provide further housing and school facilities for children and mobilize funding for poor households’ insurance coverage. 18 communes classified as poor in the city will be supported to reduce poverty rate.”
