(VOVworld) – More attention should be paid to people to people diplomacy with more training on this issue for diplomats at all levels. President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan made the remarks at a Friday meeting in Hanoi to discuss the Front’s program on people to people diplomacy in the period 2014-2019.

Nhan said people to people diplomacy should go hand in hand with the Party and State’s diplomacy policies with clear instructions and guidelines for better implementation. He stressed the need for specific action plans on this matter in separate time frames. The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, VUFO, 5 other political and social organizations, and the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association also attended the meeting.
