The art, which features the traditional technique of using wax, weaving, and brocading to make patterns, creates unique cultural and historical values and reflect the skills of the Mong people. Chang A Lu, Vice Chairman of Muong Cha District People’s Committee, said: "The ceremony attaches great political and cultural importance. We look forward to receiving more encouragement from the government so that we will continue preserving and promoting our indigenous culture. We will soon propose other arts to be recognized as national intangible cultural heritages."
