(VOVworld)-Various activities take place nationwide to ensure a joyful mid autumn festival for children. Hanoi Youth Union hosted a festival for disadvantaged children on Saturday to bring them a playing ground and an opportunity to make friends.
Similar event opened in Ho Chi Minh City with support from the local Red Cross Society. Children could join traditional folk games, lantern shows and gastronomic corners. Dang Thi Minh Hieu is from the city’s Red Cross Society:“Children could learn more about tradition by doing, such as making lanterns for use during the Mid Autumn festival or making do-it-yourself presents for friends and relatives.”
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa provincial authorities held festivals for ethnic children and those in Truong Sa island district. Poor children and ethnic students in Quang Ngai province received scholarships worth millions of dong.
