(VOVworld) - The Mekong River Commission held a ceremony in Can Tho City on Wednesday to hand over the management of 12 gauging stations in Vietnam. Six of these stations are in the Mekong Delta region, four in the central highlands and two in Dinh An and Cuu Tieu. It is part of the French-funded hydrometeorological monitoring station project with technical support from the World Meteorological Organization to help Vietnam minimize property and human losses caused by floods in the Mekong Delta.
