(VOVworld) – On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung chaired a briefing on efforts to address drought and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta.

He called for the involvement of the political system and the people’s participation in addressing natural disasters, adding that crop restructuring and strengthened regional connectivity are needed to handle drought and saltwater intrusion more effectively: “The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment should quickly adjust and detail Vietnam’s climate change scenario, which will be used for planning land use and improving forecasts.”
