(VOVworld) - The Mekong Delta Economic Cooperation Forum (MDEC) 2014, scheduled to take place in Soc Trang province in November, will focus on agricultural restructuring and the new rural area program.

According to Deputy Head of the Southwest Steering Committee Nguyen Phong Quang, MDEC-Soc Trang 2014 intends to promote regional strengths, especially in trade and tourism, and enhance links between the Mekong Delta provinces, partners nationwide, and central agencies.
The annual forum began in 2007.
