At the ceremony, General Secretary Lam said, “It’s necessary to build a team of cadres who are politically steadfast, creative, and self-reliant in performing professional and technical tasks, who pay special attention to attracting, training, and developing talents, a team of intellectuals and scientists with good professional qualifications, good moral qualities, and pure medical ethics, who deserve the trust and love of the Party, State, and people.”
The Party leader underscored the need to combine treatment with medical research, training, and technology transfer. International cooperation is needed in training high-quality human resources, promoting research, developing new techniques and technology for diagnosis and treatment, controlling diseases in peacetime, and responding to natural disasters, he said.
