So far, no Vietnamese citizens have been infected by the virus. Vietnam is closely monitoring the disease and updating the disease situation with news agencies and on its websites at moh.gov.vn and vncdc.gov.vn. Screenings have been implemented at border gates, airports, and ports in many countries including Laos, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Turkey, Bahrain. Uganda and Zambia.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan O Cha has ordered relevant agencies to strengthen measures to cope with corona virus.

The Mongolian National Committee for Emergency Situations  decided to shut down all schools and kindergartens nationwide from January 27 to March 2 to prevent corona virus infection and other pneumonia diseases. In Chicago, where the second corona virus infection case was reported, local authorities said they are closely monitoring some other cases at risk of infection.
