According to Ambassador Tan, the visit comes at a time when regional cooperation is increasingly essential, especially as Malaysia and Vietnam have upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
"We are expecting a very good outcome for this official visit. I think it is important to further establish the political trust between the two leaders as well as to work to increase the trade and investment between the two countries," Ambassador Tan said.
He also stressed the need to strengthen talks about the halal industry, cooperation in green energy, and people-to-people contact
Prime Minister Chinh’s visit and attendance at the ASEAN Summit and related meetings send a strong signal of Vietnam’s commitment to a united, forward-looking ASEAN that plays a central role in maintaining regional peace.
