The Ministry has ordered plant quarantine forces to help inspect agricultural exports to avoid bottlenecks at border gates.

Hoang Trung, Director of the Plant Protection Department, said procedures regarding growing area codes and packaging are ready for lychee exports.

“Localities have already made contact to complete procedures for shipments. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province, a lychee cultivation hub, has completed the procedures for exporting lychees to China, the US, and Japan. Japan has authorized Vietnam’s Plant Protection Department to oversee lychee exports to its market,” said Trung.

The National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department has joined the effort to facilitate exports of farm produce.
