The Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command strengthened border control to crack down on illegal immigrants to prevent COVID-19 importation. Measures are also taken to ensure the safety for the upcoming high school graduation exam. Gia Lai province has also opened 2 labs and one testing center to test for any COVID-19 infection case.
Dak Nong province on Sunday halted all festivals, religious and sports activities and other community activities. The province also closed "non-essential" services like amusement parks, beauty parlors, karaoke, spas and bars. Gatherings of 30 plus people are banned and people are asked to keep a physical distancing of at least one meter and wear masks at public places. People returning from COVID-19 hotspots are closely monitored and tested.
Meanwhile, Thua Thien Hue province has increased communications about preventing COVID-19 to local fishermen. Fishermen are asked to report any illegal transportation of people who returned from the pandemic-hit areas but refused quarantine. Fishermen coming from other areas need to make health declaration.
