In Quang Ninh, expected to be the first and hardest-hit province, nearly 1,000 fishing vessels and passenger boats have taken shelter, while more than 5,000 aquaculture workers have been brought ashore. Fish cages and farms have also been reinforced.
In Hanoi, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh has directed all communes and wards to review preparedness plans, protect vulnerable groups and essential facilities, and be ready to evacuate residents if necessary. The city is also managing traffic flow and instructing schools to ensure student safety.
In Lang Son province, more than 2,000 officers and soldiers have been mobilized for potential rescue and relief operations.
