(VOVworld) - Libyan air force has carried out an air strike on a "suspicious" Greek oil tanker in the eastern Libyan port of Derna.
According to Ahmad Al-Mismari, spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA), the Liberian-flagged ARAEVO oil tanker did not comply with orders to stop for inspection before entering the harbor, so the air force attacked it.

The Derna port is currently held by supporters of the Islamic State. The Libyan army has repeatedly announced that it will attack ships going to the Derna port.
On Monday, Turkish Airlines suspended flights to Misrata, Libya, because of concerns about worsening security in the country. Turkish Airlines is the only foreign airline still operating flights to Libya.
