(VOVworld)- Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has shared with Lok Sabha Television Channel of the Indian House of the People about Vietnam’s secret in successful economic development. In an interview with the TV station on Friday, Ms Ngan said that Vietnamese people always pursued peace for national development. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese people overcame the aftermaths and healed the wounds of war. In its renovation process, the country has recorded several major achievements. Vietnam’s economy is a socialist oriented market economy, which has mobilized the aggregate strength of the nation and all resources available to develop. From a food importer, Vietnam has emerged as the second largest rice exporter in the world. The country has formulated Foreign Investment Law to attract foreign resources to national development.  The government has paid special attention to improving the living conditions of the majority of people, especially the poor and ensuring social welfares. Ngan spoke highly of the close relationship between the two countries and parliaments and confirmed that both sides have great potential for stronger cooperation through implementation of signed agreements. The same day, the Vice Chairwoman visited the Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi, met with the Indian-Vietnamese Association and visited the Indian Parliamentary Museum and some cultural relics.
