(VOVworld) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday met with US President Barack Obama during a symbolic visit to Pearl Harbor, where Japan’s World War Two attack took place in 1941.

Mr. Abe offered his sincere and everlasting condolences for the loss, stating that the horrors of war must never be repeated again. He emphasized the bonds of sympathy and that now connect the two countries.
President Obama welcomed PM Abe with high solidarity. He said he hopes Japan and the US will spread a message of peace and jointly condemn retaliation. He called on the world to fight discrimination.
