(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture has launched a logo design contest for the APEC summit to open in Hanoi next year. The contest, organised by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is open for both professional and amateur artists nationwide.

Vi Kien Thanh, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition, asks designers to combine Vietnam’s cultural identity and APEC’s values of dynamism, action, creativity, unity, and forward-looking in their logos: “For big events like APEC, designing the logo is important preparation. The Vietnamese government has begun to prepare for hosting APEC 2017. Besides designing a logo, we’re also designing the uniforms for the 21 state leaders attending the event.”
