(VOVworld) - The 2016 Ban (Bauhinia) Flower Festival will be held in the northwestern province of Dien Bien on March 13-15 with the participation of people from northern Laos and northeastern Thailand.
Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Viet Dung said the department will announce the Prime Minister’s Decision on implementing a master plan to develop the Dien Bien Phu – Pa Khoang national tourist site.
A wide range of activities will be held, including a Ban photo contest, traditional dances by ethnic groups like the Mong, Thai and Kho Mu, a culture exhibition and folk games. Dien Bien province has inspected accommodation, restaurants, and tourist services to ensure food safety and prices.
