(VOVworld) – Lao’s media on Wednesday covered the celebrations for Vietnam’s 69^th National Day, September 2.

The Pasaxon newspaper of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party, and Laos’ National TV and radio, Pathetlao newspaper reported the speech by Vietnam’s ambassador to Laos, Nguyen Manh Hung, reviewing significant events. 69 years ago, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people rose up and defeated the French colonialists, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam or present-day Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The speech also highlighted Vietnam’s past achievements, including developments in Vietnam-Laos investment cooperation and socio-economic development strategy in future. According to Lao’s media, the time-honored friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Lao will make great contributions to stability, development and peace in the region and the world.
