Addressing the 7th workshop on ASEAN connectivity, Lao Deputy Foreign Minister Thongphane Savanphet highlighted the importance of effective coordination between relevant agencies, local and regional governments, public-private sectors, partner countries, and major stakeholders to successfully implement the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025, and towards realizing the 2025 ASEAN Community Vision. He underscored the need to create more opportunities presented in the five strategic areas under the new Master Plan: sustainable infrastructure, digital innovation, seamless logistics, regulatory excellence, and people mobilization. 

Adopted by ASEAN leaders earlier this year, the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 aims to realize a seamlessly and comprehensively connected and integrated ASEAN, which brings improved infrastructure, enhanced technology, lower supply chain costs, and ease of travel to all ASEAN citizens.
