Kuwait backs call for talks on cutting oil output

(VOVWORLD) -Kuwait supports Saudi Arabia's call to renew talks on cutting the oil supply to stabilize the oil market, said  Kuwaiti oil minister.

Khaled Al-Fadhel said that Kuwait totally backs Saudi Arabia’s efforts to bring OPEC and non-OPEC countries back to the table.

Last week, Saudi Arabia called for an emergency meeting between OPEC and its allies as well as other oil producers on Thursday to discuss a new pact to curb output.

The OPEC+ crude oil exporter group is debating cutting the global oil supply by 10 million barrels per day, an OPEC source said on Friday, adding that any further cuts must include producers from outside the alliance.
