Kenya pledged to pay 10 million USD to resettle about 350,000 refugees in their countries or in third countries. Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Ole Nkaissery said that from now on Kenya will not allow refugees from neighbor countries, particularly Somalia, to reside in the camps near the border, because of increasing terrorism and criminal activity.

World humanitarian organizations and the UN Refugee Agency expressed concerns about the plan and warned that the closure and forcible repatriation of refugees would violate international laws on human rights and refugees.
