(VOVworld) – The Vice-president of the Presidium of Japan’s Communist Party’s Central Committee Yasuo Ogata is visiting Vietnam. At a reception on Wednesday, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Dinh The Huynh said the two parties should increase bilateral cooperation in regional and global forums. Ogata said the Communist Party of Japan will contribute to fostering friendship between the two countries.
Earlier, Ogata held a working session with head of the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission Hoang Binh Quan. They agreed to increase exchanges and boost cooperation at multilateral forums. They also discussed recent developments in the region and agreed that maritime disputes should be resolved via peaceful means in line with international law and the region’s code of conduct.
