(VOVWORLD) - Kyodo news agency reviewed important agenda of the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio. It cited Prime Minister Kishida statement after the talks that Vietnam is an "important partner" in realizing Japan's vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

In a news story titled “Japan to Work with Vietnam to Diversify Supply Chains”, Jiji Press reported Prime Minister Kishida announced the idea that Japan and Vietnam will work closely to strengthen supply chains through diversification.

In another article titled "Japan to help Vietnam improve military's cyber capabilities", Jiji Press said the leaders of the two countries also agreed to continue working together for a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

NHK broadcaster reported on the outcomes of talks by the two leaders in Hanoi.
