They met on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in London, their first trilateral meeting since US President Joe Biden took office in January.
Prior to their meeting, Blinken noted the importance of the US’s alliance with Japan and South Korea as the Biden administration tries to thaw diplomatic relations with North Korea.
