Speaking at the event in Tokyo on Wednesday, Tran Ngoc Phuc, chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Japan said he believes the Association will be an active adviser in Japan-Vietnam medical cooperation and can help improve healthcare services for elderly people.

Hosted by the Japanese government, the seminar discussed ways to boost bilateral and regional cooperation in projects and business activities to deal with Asia’s aging population and help achieve the United Health Care program’s goals. Last November Japan organized the 1st conference of the Vietnamese Committee on Asia Healthcare, which drew 200 experts to discuss Vietnam-Japan people exchanges in elderly people’s health services.
