During an interview with the press on Friday on the occasion of the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit in Japan starting Saturday, ambassador Cuong talked about Vietnam’s role in the Mekong-Japan cooperation mechanism, including integrating cooperative programs on the environment, clean water, and natural disaster prevention. Vietnam has actively promoted Mekong-Japan development and projects to connect the Mekong subregion and promote e-customs clearance, he said.
The summit will be attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
