At least 400 Palestinians were killed or wounded on Tuesday when Israeli warplanes struck the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Regional media and Palestinian medical sources confirmed that the majority of casualties in the attack were women and children.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry described the Israeli airstrikes on the camp as an inhumane act and a serious violation of international law.
Dozens of demonstrations broke out in cities throughout the region to express indignation at Israel’s attack.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) insisted that the attack on Jabalia killed a high-ranking Hamas leader, adding that more than 20,000 Israeli soldiers have advanced into the Gaza Strip since last Saturday.
