This is the third killing the IS has done in a few weeks after the beheadings of two US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff. In the 2 minute 27 second video tape, the IS showed 44 year-old Haines, who comes from Perth in Scotland, being killed in a desert location by a masked man. The IS’s video of beheading aimed to retaliate British Prime Minister David Cameroon for his support to Iraq government and Kurdish force in northern Iraq in the fight against the IS. The IS also warned that they would kill another hostage named Alan Henning if the British government continued to support the effort to fight against this group. Haines was abducted last year in Syria while working for the French aid agency Acted.
