IS claims responsibility for deadly knife attack in Marseille

(VOVWORLD) -The Islamic State terrorist group on Sunday claimed responsibility for a Marseille knife attack which left two women dead.

French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb said it was a terrorist attack but French authorities haven’t yet officially confirmed that. Marseille mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin and French policemen called the stabbing a terrorist attack. Witnesses said the attacker shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) at the start of his rampage.
